The Achilles tendon can also be prone to injuries due to overuse in sports. It is one of the most common cases of tendinitis, an inflammation affecting the tendon, which can occur from overload, diseases like arthritis, or aging.
It is also recommended to use heel cushions in such cases as they absorb the impact produced when walking or doing sports, relieve tendon tension, and are anatomical for a perfect fit with the heel.

They are also very useful for improving and correcting posture by offering stability and balance to the foot, preventing falls and injuries not only in the heels but also in the ankles, knees, and hips.
